Basketball: FIBA Reappoints Ahmedu As President

Board individual from the Nigeria Basketball League, NBBF, Colonel Sam Ahmedu rtd, has been reappointed as the President of the Organization of Worldwide Basketball Affiliation, FIBA, Africa Zone 3 for a third residency.

At the FIBA Africa Congress led at the Lodging Polana Serena in Maputo, Mozambique yesterday, Colonel Ahmedu who was additionally casted a ballot as individual from the FIBA Africa Focal Board will be in office for the following four years.

Talking after the congress, he offered thanks to the All-powerful God for the achievement, while saying thanks to everybody that to upheld him.

On his part, FIBA leader committee part, Mr. Abdellatif Hatim from Morocco who managed the cycle, complimented the president, saying that Ahmedu’s re-appointment is because of tremendous difficult work and devotion towards the improvement of the game in the zone.

In the mean time, the eight nations that partook in the zone 3 races are Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Liberia, Togo, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast and Benin Republic.
